This is another note in a series of updates I will be sending as this case moves forward. I will keep these honest, clear, and regular — because you have stood with me from the beginning and you deserve to know where things stand at every step.
UPDATE — MAY 14, 2026 Injunction Hearing
The hearing is over for now. The fight is not.
This case is very much alive. The defamation claims are moving forward, a scheduling conference has been set for July 22, 2026, and I am pursuing an appeal on the disciplinary committee ruling. There is more work ahead — and more opportunities to expose what was done, hold the people responsible accountable under the law, and make sure it can never happen to another elected officer again.
I will share more as each stage develops.
A CALL FOR WITNESSES — THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS EMAIL
What happened to me did not happen in a vacuum. False statements were made. False charges were circulated. Communications were sent to members, delegates, and the public that misrepresented my conduct as your duly elected Maui County Chair. A coordinated effort was made to damage my reputation, remove me from office without a lawful process, and silence me for going to court.
To expose that fraud fully — and to hold those responsible accountable — I need more witnesses. And some of those witnesses may be reading this email right now.
If you have personally read, heard, seen, or received any communication — from Shirlene Ostrov, the Hawaii Republican Party, or anyone — that contained false or misleading statements about me, I need to hear from you.
This includes:
• Emails or text messages you received about my suspension, censure, or removal that contained false characterizations of my conduct
• Social media posts, comments, or direct messages that made false or misleading claims about me or my record as County Chair
• Statements made at Party meetings, county committee meetings, conventions, or in any public forum that misrepresented who I am or what I did
• Communications you received — or were shown — that appeared designed to turn members, delegates, or the public against me
• Any instance where you were pressured, encouraged, or asked to repeat or spread negative information about me
• Any behind-the-scenes coordination you witnessed or were approached about regarding efforts to remove me, discredit me, or build a case against me
You do not need to have a complete picture. You do not need to be certain what you witnessed rises to the level of defamation. If you saw it, heard it, experienced it, or have a record of it — we want to know.
A screenshot. A forwarded email. A written account of what you witnessed. A name. A date. A place. Any piece of the puzzle helps — and pieces that seem small to you may be exactly what completes the picture.

WHY THIS MATTERS BEYOND MY CASE
This is not just about what happened to me. What was done to me — a coordinated effort to remove a duly elected county officer through a tribunal process, defame me publicly, and then kick me out for going to court — can be done to anyone. The Hawaii Constitution guarantees everyone the right to petition the court. Christina Everett filed a lawsuit against the party and received zero penalties. Not even an investigation. The only difference is that my lawsuit lists the current leadership. What's happening to me can be done to the next Patriot who asks too many questions. It can be done to any member who stands up to RINO leadership that has decided that their own Bylaws can either be twisted to fit their narrative or do not apply to them.
Exposing this fraud fully — on the record, in court, with evidence — is how we make sure it does not happen again.
WHAT COMES NEXT
July 22, 2026 — Scheduling conference on the defamation case. I will send Update #2 after that hearing.
Ongoing — Appeal of the disciplinary committee ruling. I will share updates as that process moves forward.
Ongoing — Preparation of the defamation case. Your testimony and any evidence you can provide will be helpful to that preparation.

Thank you for standing with me. This fight is about whether the rules mean anything — whether an elected officer can be removed without a lawful process, defamed without consequence, and silenced for going to court. The answer to all of those questions is still being written. And with your help, we will write it together.
On another note; the Hawaii Republican Party's State Convention is Saturday, May 16, 2026. It is a Platform year. However, they are planning on squeezing in Bylaw changes. If I was going I would vote NO on all the purposed rule changes because the rule changes they are proposing will absolutely give leadership carte blanc to remove every member of the party that sneezes in the wrong direction of their ideology. Those rule changes would literally make the Hawaii Republican Party an official division of the Democratic party. Let's hope that the State Committee has enough conservatives in there that sees the truth and holds the line.
