Now, more than two weeks on from our petition hand-in, we're strategising and building for the next stage of the campaign.
We're teaming up with Don't Pay UK to offer Warm-Up training next Wednesday - Register.
What's a Warm-Up? A tactic pioneered by Fuel Poverty Action, it involves entering and occupying a public space as a group to keep warm. We take this action to highlight unafforable fuel bills at home and to demand action.
We hope to empower campaigners to organise and participate in Warm-Ups around the country this December in support of both Don't Pay's bill strike and the Warm This Winter Coalition's Day of Action.
If you haven't seen already - an Early Day Motion launched in parliament the day before our petition hand-in calling for a Universal basic energy allowance, supplemented by a social tariff and national insulation programme. Email your MP with a couple of clicks asking them to sign the motion!
Finally, over the next two weekends you can support actions on both the cost of living and climate crisis.
Saturday 5th November - People's Assembly Against Austerity: Britain is Broken National Demonstration.
Saturday 12th November - COP27 Global Day of Action.
