I am a resident of Oak Grove, TN, and like many others in our community, I have been a victim of unlawful traffic stops and harassment by the police. This is not just my story; it's the story of countless individuals who call this place home. Our families live here. We should feel safe and protected by those sworn to uphold the law, not threatened.

In recent years, there has been an alarming increase in reports of police misconduct across the country.

This is not just about numbers; it's about people's lives being disrupted due to unnecessary fear and intimidation. It's about our right as citizens to move freely without being subjected to illegal stops or harassment.

We are calling on local authorities in Oak Grove, TN , mainly WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE  to take immediate action against this issue. We demand transparency from our law enforcement agencies regarding their practices during traffic stops. We also request that they undergo additional training focused on respecting citizens' rights during encounters with law enforcement. 
 
It’s not right that everyone is being stopped for NO concrete reason. IN FREEZING WEATHER during a traffic stop which was me pulling into my RESIDENCE, I was told to take my SOCKS AND SHOES OFF (17 degrees outside) and wait for a female officer to get to us so I could be UNLAWFULLY SEARCHED! I was treated like a drug dealer with GUNS! Share this. Sign this. It matters to us!  Cops are NOT above the law.
