As a dog owner of seven beloved pets, I am deeply concerned about the increasing number of XL Bullies being shot by police. In recent times, three innocent dogs have tragically lost their lives due to this unnecessary violence. This is not just an issue that affects me personally, but it also impacts countless other dog owners and animal lovers across the country.

XL Bullies are known for their gentle nature and loyalty towards their families. They should not be targeted simply because of their size or breed. It's important to note that according to the American Veterinary Medical Association, breed is a poor sole predictor of dog bites as many other factors influence a dog's likelihood to bite (AVMA).

The loss of these three dogs represents an alarming trend that needs immediate attention. We demand justice for these innocent animals and urge law enforcement agencies to implement better training programs on handling dogs during confrontations or investigations.

We call upon our local government and police departments nationwide to take responsibility for these actions and ensure they do not happen again in the future. We need your support in making sure no more XL Bullies fall victim to such senseless acts.
