I honestly don’t even know where to begin.

When I started this, it came from a very personal place. I saw someone I care about suffer in a system that refused to treat addiction as what it is—a medical condition. I saw the consequences, the desperation, the struggle, and I couldn’t just look away.

Today, something has changed.

MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) is now being made available to all inmates in Kentucky—without exception.

That means people won’t have to go through withdrawal alone. It means fewer people will be pushed into dangerous situations just to cope. It means help is finally being recognized as something everyone deserves.

I’m incredibly grateful. Truly. To everyone who signed, shared, spoke about it, or even just took a moment to care—you made this possible.

This was never just about one person. But it did start with one.

And today, I’m thinking of him.

Thank you for standing with us.
