Thanks ever so much for signing the petition demanding change in the NT.

We must end the NT TIO MAC SCAM SCHEME.  

We would like to take the chance to show you below how unjust this system is: 

The family of Richard, the man who was murdered in our bus crash, by the bus company that decided to illegally change the bus and knowingly sent it out as dangerously unsafe (overbearing weight by 400%) that family received just $140Kaud in compensation under the scam that is the NT TIO MAC SCAM (that is only $92K usd / £71K).

Richard was on his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife who was sat next to him and had to witness him die a violent and completely avoidable death. Richard was only 69 years old, and they stole his golden years which lay ahead of him, he had a loving family that now will never receive real justice due to the MAC TIO SCAM scheme. 

There is no amount of money on earth that can bring Richard back to his wife, five children and many grandchildren. But we know that the sum given is an insult to him and his family. 

Please share this petition so we can get justice for Richard and all victims and survivors of the NT road scam!

The scam is outlined below: 

Allianz the insurer of those who have been charged by WorkSafe, the bus company, the bus company owner, and the bus company mechanic are being prosecuted... but they can not be sued under the business's public liability insurance, which Allianz would be on the hook for.. 

Instead, the victims and survivors go onto the NT TIO MAC SCHEME which is run by Allianz and Allianz makes over $100M a year profit running this scheme, by denying treatment, denying medical care to the injured, disabled and elderly who have lifelong injuries from being the victims of road violence. 

The NT prosecutors are seeking fines in the millions from the business, Emu Run, in this crash (Emu Run will most likely just file bankruptcy and not have to pay much outside of its current assets). Any money the NT government receives from a guilty prosecution goes to the NT government! Not the victims of this crash!  

We don't think this is just or fair. The victims are being used as a profit maker for both Allianz and the NT government.
