Molly Shanahan here writing to express our continued thanks to those of you who signed NDAFreeCampus' petition to end the misuse of NDAs in United States higher education. We are now 130 signatures away from 500, and we will continue to share and boost the petition as we raise awareness. Because NDAs rely on silence, and silence makes transparency impossible, there is important work to be done simply to build awareness among those whose lives may be more impacted by NDAs than they themselves realize. 

A little more about us, and the people that inspire us 

NDAFreeCampus is an entirely volunteer-led organization, founded in early 2024 by Molly Shanahan, Robert Leland, and Kate Mattingly. Our work over the last several months has centered around initiating conversations and building ally-ship with individuals and organizations whose mission and vision dovetail with our own. These include Can't Buy My Silence, founded by Julie Macfarlane and Zelda Perkins, Lift Our Voices, founded by Gretchen Carlson and Julie Roginsky, the Clery Center, and Nicole Bedera of Beyond Compliance. We are also inspired by by the work of Jennifer Freyd and the Center for Institutional Courage.
