The department found funding for new staff positions, dishwashers, and washing machines, but still ignores the urgent need for humane temperature control in a shelter where animals suffer through 100°F heat. After more than a decade under the same leadership, this department continues to mismanage taxpayer funds while animals endure conditions no human would tolerate.
