Time for action, everyone!  The above picture was taken last Saturday right in front of 395 S Atlantic, OUTSIDE of the dog zone. The County continues to fail in enforcing their own rules about dogs on the beach and the matter is worse with the pilot dog zone now providing even more access.  Please continue to send pics to notfollowingtherules@gmail.com and calling the County  (676-4160) to report issues inside and outside of the zone….the reporting is making a real difference!

The action we need now is to come with us Tuesday night at 7pm to the Ormond Beach City Commission meeting, at the Southwest corner of Granada Bridge….22 S Beach Street.  A few of us will be taking the ‘3 minutes’ allowed at the start of the meeting for public comment to share our concerns.  If you wish to speak, you may, as well, or just come to show support for the cause.

Last week the News-Journal covered our issue, as did the Ormond Observer, WESH, CBS, Spectrum 13, and Fox 35.  Momentum is building and we also submitted a Sunshine Law / Public Record Law request to the County to get to the bottom of the finances of the pilot program and to challenge the ‘data,’ they’ve been reporting recently about the pilot - it’s full of holes.

Please join us Tuesday night at 7 if you’re able.  With over 320 signatures, our petition is a powerful message and one the elected officials are paying attention to - let’s end the pilot program now!

Thanks!
