Update, Part II: A couple of questions have come up this week that I wanted to make sure and answer quickly.
1) Yes, pictures of dog owners not doing the right thing - whether in the zone or out of the zone, are really important to help us make the change that is needed. The picture here is one I took March 10 in front of Tidesfall after I told some folks they couldn’t be out of the zone with their dog…they turned around and headed south. (I blurred their faces to protect the guilty)! :). Note that it’s good to have landmarks in the picture to show location (not the water as a background, in other words). Pictures can be sent directly to an email address created to support the petition:
notfollowingbeachrules@gmail.com
You can also write me there and I can share my cell number with you if it’s easier to just send me pictures via text message. I welcome those, as well. Photos will make a huge difference in this campaign.
2) Yes, the petition can absolutely be signed and supported by folks all over town, not just living on the beach or beachside. The more, the merrier. Elected officials respond to voters and visitors alike.
