More needs to be done to ensure equality for all individuals, regardless of their economic background. Individuals of lower socioeconomic status must be protected by law and entitled to food, shelter, and water by law; denying individuals these basic necessities will be illegal and regarded as socioeconomic discrimination.

It is essential to recognise that there is no guarantee that an employer will offer employment to an individual, exacerbating the challenges faced by those already marginalised by socioeconomic inequalities as the decision-making power regarding employment rests with the employer rather than the job seekers themselves. 

Furthermore, perpetuating the harmful narrative that individuals who are unable to work should be expected to contribute must be condemned as hate speech and socioeconomic discrimination.
