The Issue

Having personally endured verbal abuse and public humiliation, I am compelled to speak out against Santiago Matias, also known as Alofoke. His recent actions against women and participants on his reality show are not only disrespectful, but also demonstrate a pattern of verbal and psychological abuse, & abuse of power. Taking advantage of the power dynamics in order to humiliate employees, and most recently his reality show participants.

These behaviors are not befitting of someone in a leadership position, especially one as influential as a partner of SONY Music.

Santiago Matias's recent conduct has shown a blatant disregard for the dignity and respect of those around him. His emotionally unstable and abusive behavior, particularly towards women and vulnerable participants, has been a consistent issue. Such conduct not only harms individuals but also sets a damaging precedent for the public and Dominican youth who look up to figures in positions of power.

In a world where we are striving for equality, respect, and acceptance, it is crucial for leaders to embody these values. A CEO should be a role model, someone who positively influences others, treats all people with kindness, and fosters an environment of support and growth. Santiago Matias's current behavior is far from this ideal.

Statistics show that CEOs have a significant impact on company culture and public perception. An abusive leader can result in lower employee morale, decreased productivity, and negative public perception, which can ultimately affect the brand's success and sustainability. By allowing Santiago Matias to continue his role at SONY Music, we are ignoring the potential long-term harm to both the company and its audience.

This petition calls for the immediate removal of Santiago Matias from his partnership with SONY Music. It is imperative that SONY Music appoints a leaderswho promotes respect, fairness, and compassion.

Sign this petition to stand against abusive behavior in leadership and advocate for a respectful and equitable corporate environment.
