To the Honorable Joe Biden administration,

As we approach the two and a half year mark since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we recognize the importance of addressing the ongoing attacks in a resolute manner. While economic sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies have been effective, their impact has waned over time.

In order to counter potential further aggression from the Russian federation, we strongly recommend the implementation of additional, meaningful measures. In addition to the existing sanctions, such as restrictions on Russian banks' access to the SWIFT system and specific export limitations, we propose the adoption of the following supplementary steps:

1. Introducing limitations on the entry of any airline and/or freight company that utilizes Russian airspace from entering USA airspace. This approach aims to discourage entities from utilizing routes passing through Russia, ultimately reducing the financial resources directed to Russia for utilizing its airspace or ports, thereby constraining their capacity to acquire new military equipment.

2. Extending these restrictions to all shipping companies engaged in trade with Russia, ensuring that any firm conducting business with Russia is prohibited from operating in the USA.

We firmly believe that the adoption of these comprehensive measures could serve as a robust deterrent to nations engaging in activities that run counter to the interests of the USA and its allies.
