The Resettlement Assistance Program needs to be ended. Many Canadians are in need of money for various things including bedding, mattresses, furniture, transportation, pots and pans, etc and there is no funding for them. Refugees can access different amounts of funds depending on their size of their family for various categories including mattresses and furniture, linens, bed sheets, clothing and seasonal clothing, monthly transportation allowance, monthly communication allowance, newborn allowance, monthly breastfeeding allowance, monthly shelter and basic needs allowance, etc using billions of our tax dollars that should be used for Canadians born here or Veterans that are in need. Refugees are also given luxurious hotel stays until they are given a rent supplement or affordable housing while Canadians are forced to fight for a bed at a shelter or sleep on the street of no beds are available at a shelter. Not to mention aa soon as a refugee gets an apartment, they are given a rent supplement immediately while Canadians are told the program is "full." This is unfair to Canadians that have paid taxes when refugees have not. Hard working Canadians are working as slaves to pay for refugees to have everything handed to them. This needs to stop! They are given thousands of our tax dollars to start a business while Canadians are given next to nothing. This is unfair to Canadians and we need to put an end to this unfair treatment to our own people. The government needs to quit reimbursing employees half of an immigrants pay check with our tax dollars. The damage is already done. Many Canadians homeless and jobless because employers have to pay double to hire Canadians. This means that immigrants are paid the sane wage as canadians, however the governnent reimburses their employer 50% of the wages that were paid to the immigrant. For example, Bob a Canadian born here makes 17.20 an hour and just started working at Tim Hortons 30 days ago. He made 2400 last month for working 160 hours for the month. He received the full amount direct deposited into his bank account. The government never reimbursed Bob's employee 1200 dollars. Now compare that to India a 40 year old man who has only paid taxes in stores and not on income tax. India got his first job 30 days ago at Tim Horton's and gets 17.20 an hour. India received 2400 for working 160 hours for the month and received his full 2400 dollars directly into his bank account. Then, India's boss Sam was handed 1200 for hiring an immigrant instead of a Canadian as a thank you for not hiring a Canadian. This immigrant payment to employees happens every month and prevents Canadians and teenagers from securing jobs accross Canada at many places including Tim Hortons, The Brick, Subway, Mcdonalds, warehouses. Quite frankly, immigrants are stealing jobs from Canadians and money is being provided to encourage employees not to hire Canadians. This funding discriminates against Canadians and the government should be held reliable for damages and the programs should be available to Canadians or discontinued.
