The 85th Texas Legislature meets in 24 days. Unless the legislators are compelled to take action then children as young as four run the risk of having meal trays stripped from their hands if their meal account balances are low. I saw it happen to a pre-schooler folks, during breakfast, what a "welcome to school" huh? If you are fine with that then please keep on trolling, if not and you think that the maintenance of school meal account balances is a PARENTAL obligation that should NOT be passed on to school children then follow the link below and sign and then share this petition. 24 days will come and go before we realize it and the Texas legislature is more likely to act if there is public pressure, sign, and be a part of the change that makes Texas education that much better. If the Texas legislature does not address address this issue in 2017, the next regular legislative session won't convene until 2019!!! Let's fix this NOW!
