As of a few moments ago this petition has 108,312 supporters, of those, 11,680 supporters indicated they were from Texas. I would love to have more signatures in general but especially more Texas-based signatures. The Texas legislature meets again on January 10th, 2017, they will work for approximately 140 days having out new laws and amending existing ones. If this issue is not addressed during this upcoming legislative session the next opportunity to address it won't occur until January 2019!
