It's time for Australia to follow NZ and set a date to end this cruel trade. Please take a moment today Monday 6 February 2023, the first day of parliament, to send a message to the PM https://www.pm.gov.au/contact-your-pm asking that the government set a date to end ALL live animal exports. Last year 1,118,690 animals were exported live from Australia - 600,031 cattle, 502,758 sheep, 10,776 buffalo, 4,869 goats and 256 alpaca. Live export cannot be made safe for any animal. They all suffer when exported live to be killed, often horrifically, at their destination. The photo shows three animals that were exported from Townsville in December for slaughter in Vietnam, a country which has been described by the RSPCA as the most dangerous export destination for cattle. Please share this update.
