Last weekend (24-25 November 2018) the former Awassi Express, a livestock carrier on which many thousands of sheep have died, was at Berth 4 loading 16,500 cattle for export to Indonesia while Townsville experienced a heatwave.  This former container ship was converted into a livestock carrier modified to carry camels. So far this year 55 ships have loaded cattle for export from the Port of Townsville and more are expected before Christmas. Please do what you can to help end this cruelty by continuing to share the petition and asking your MP to support an end to the live animal export trade.
