While the number of signatures on this petition is increasing so is the number of live export ships leaving the Port of Townsville. 45 ships have now left the Port of Townsville this year, with 28 going to Vietnam, 1 to China and the rest to Indonesia. The Jawan left port on World Animal Day loaded with cattle for Indonesia. These animals now face 11 days at sea on a former container ship "converted' in to a livestock carrier.
