Parental kidnapping facilitated by restraining orders is a catastrophic issue and has huge impacts on the children and parents.

As a parent myself, I understand that the first human right is to have access to your children.

It is devastating to witness how the abuse of restraining order laws has resulted in millions of parents losing access to their beloved children every day within the borders of the United States.

The justice system should not be permitted to remove access to a child unless an imminent and direct danger to a child is predicted. 

Currently; one parent can easily remove his/her partner's access to the children for at least a month! The other party and the kids will suffer huge amount of pain during the temporary restraining order period. 

There is a huge cost involved for the legal process, and it impacts the children and the parents directly. 

There are millions of dishonest parents who file for divorce and abuse the restraining order as a tool to hit the other party by holding children hostage, asking for money and selling children to the other parent. 

The Catastrophic Impact on Children and Parents:
The current system fails to acknowledge or address the catastrophic impact that these restraining orders have on both children and parents involved. By granting one parent unilateral power through a restraining order, countless innocent parents are unfairly treated and stripped away from their children's lives without due process.

Millions Unfairly Treated Within US Borders:
It is shocking that millions of parents across our nation are being subjected to this unjust treatment each day. This epidemic not only tears families apart but also perpetuates emotional trauma for both parents and children involved.

Restraining Orders as Tools for Hostage-Taking:
One distressing aspect is how easily an angry parent can exploit restraining order laws as tools for revenge, manipulation, and hostage-taking. This misuse undermines justice while inflicting immeasurable harm upon innocent families.

We Demand Change!
We call upon lawmakers, legal authorities, and policymakers at all levels to take immediate action against legalized parental kidnapping facilitated through restraining orders. We demand:

1. Comprehensive Review: Conduct an urgent review of existing laws surrounding restraining orders with a focus on protecting parental rights while ensuring child safety.
2. Due Process: Implement safeguards to prevent the misuse of restraining orders, ensuring that they are only granted when there is substantial evidence of imminent danger or harm.
3. Child-Centered Approach: Prioritize the best interests of the child in all custody and visitation decisions, promoting healthy relationships with both parents whenever possible.
4. Supportive Services: Establish accessible support services for families affected by parental kidnapping, including counseling, mediation, and legal aid.
