On November 9th, 2023, Starting 9 a.m until 2 p.m. we will gather in front of the courthouse in Rockford to demand an end to gun violence. This petition is personal to me because it was not until my own family fell victim to this senseless act that I truly understood the devastating impact it has on individuals and communities. WE DEMAND NO BOND! WE DEMAND JUSTICE! WE DEMAND PEACE WE DEMAND PUTTING THE GUNS DOWN! & WE DEMAND PEOPLE TO STOP KILLING OUR KIDS 

Gun violence has become an all too familiar occurrence in our society. We see it on the news, read about it online, but often fail to grasp the magnitude of its consequences until tragedy strikes close to home. My two beloved loved ones were taken away from us by an act of gun violence. They were young, full of dreams and aspirations, but their lives were cut short by a weapon designed for destruction.

This nightmare that my family is living through should not be experienced by anyone else. It is time for action - here in Rockford and worldwide.

We understand that addressing gun violence is a complex issue with no easy solutions. However, we firmly believe that change begins with raising awareness and demanding accountability from our lawmakers and communities.

By coming together on August 10th, 2023, we aim to send a powerful message: enough is enough! We will peacefully gather outside the courthouse as a united front against gun violence. This event is open to everyone who shares our concern and wants to contribute towards creating safer communities for ourselves and future generations.

To support our cause effectively, we must rely on accurate facts and statistics. While there are numerous sources available regarding gun violence's impact on society, I encourage you all to do your research thoroughly before sharing information or signing this petition.

Let us remember that this fight against gun violence transcends political affiliations or personal beliefs; it is about safeguarding innocent lives from preventable tragedies caused by firearms misuse.
