Nothing is the same or even seems right without my sister being home. I am not able to watch movies or shows that she would like but hasn’t seen yet because movies are our thing. It is one of the things we have always done together. I have been unable to sleep in my room or bed without her here. Nothing seems right. My doctor says is it due to grief over my sister being abducted and abused. Depending on how you look at it the only positive thing that has come of all of this is I am praying unceasingly, I have had to go to confession very regularly, and the guardians and individuals involved are being prayed for as well. On another note I received a letter from the Virginia Supreme Court over the weekend. There is something interesting about the letter besides its content, but more on that later. They were informing me that my appeal was considered timely. I had requested an extension on the first appeal (there are two orders that were appealed). The court denied it initially but a request for reconsideration was filed which was granted. The request to expedite their review was denied even with everything that is going on. To give an update on the fundraiser. $500 was used for the filing of the complaint in federal district court for violation of our constitutional rights; $500 was used for the initial consultation with the lawyer; $125 has been used for outside documentation review; depositions will be approximately $600-$1200 a piece (at least 2 will be videotaped). I will be posting all of the previous updates I have not had time to post (but have written) on our website as change.org only allows one update per day. I will post a link to them when I am finished or you may check as you are able at abductionofanastasia.com. Once again thank you for all of your support and prayers. The picture is me and Anastasia in our living room in 1969. Our mom had just done my hair and was taking a picture to send to our dad who was in the military in Vietnam. She wrote on the back "Your two girls, aren't they cute?" A rhetorical question I know. lol
