Good news and other news. A lot has happened this week. I am about to unload some stuff from storage but wanted to give a quick update and hopefully I won't be too tired later to go into more detail. I saw my sister Anastasia today. She is panting and breathing extremely fast today. This is the fastest I have ever seen her breathe. She is still pale and Amd her weight is still low. The prayers for the individuals are working so please keep them up. The nurse that has always been rude is actually smiling and has gone from rude to civil. Also and this is Gods handy work, the facility now knows what we already knew, that Anastasia is aware of what you say to her and what goes on around her; that she can respond to their questions! One of the nurses had a conversation with Anastasia, responding appropriately to her questions. Now we already new this and we also know she won't speak or communicate with everyone. Also while I was visiting I asked the nurse if she could wipe her nose because it was running (I know it seems silly and a waste of their time to have to have them do it but it is the administrator and guardians rule). When the. Rise started wiping her nose I told Anastasia to blow her nose and she did several times. So again she is capable of understanding and following direction. Again something we already knew. So the guardians can no longer say Anastasia is in a coma, she is non responsive, does not follow directions. In essence their argument that she only requires palliative care is complete crap!!
