Letter to The President of the United States

President Donald Trump

Subject: Request to Reconsider Funding for Religious Statues and Monuments

Dear Mr. President

This letter addresses the allocation of public funds towards the care and maintenance of religious statues and monuments. We believe that such expenditures are a significant financial burden on taxpayers and contradict the principles outlined in the Ten Commandments, specifically the prohibition of idolatry.

The maintenance of religious symbols on public property represents a significant financial burden on taxpayers. These costs include:

 * Regular cleaning and upkeep: This involves labor, materials, and specialized equipment.

 * Repairs and restoration: Damage from weather, vandalism, or age requires costly repairs and restoration work.

 * Security measures: Protecting these monuments from vandalism and theft necessitates security personnel or surveillance systems.

These expenses could be significantly reduced, if not eliminated entirely, by removing these religious symbols from public spaces. This would free up valuable public funds for essential services such as education, infrastructure, and healthcare.

Furthermore, the display of religious symbols on public property contradicts the principles outlined in the Ten Commandments, specifically the prohibition of idolatry. As stated in Leviticus 26:1, "You shall not make for yourselves idols or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a carved stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God."

We urge you to carefully consider the financial implications of maintaining religious statues and monuments on public property. We believe that removing these symbols or at least removing funding is the right and just course of action.

Sincerely,

TheLordsReturn.com
