Last year with your support, we won a campaign calling on the Obama administration to both study and tackle the problem of female genital mutilation (FGM) in the US. That extraordinary victory gave me the confidence to take the fight back to where it all began for me: to the Gambia in West Africa where I was “cut” as a baby. As a survivor of FGM, I’ve made the decision to devote myself to the campaign to end this practice that mutilates 6,000 girls every day. A group of award-winning filmmakers are making a documentary about my life and work. It’s called 'Jaha’s Journey.' I believe that this film will inspire people to take action to end FGM. But first we need money to help finish it. Will you please consider a donation to help us do so? I am fighting to end FGM within a generation, and I hope you’ll continue to stand with me — for the sake of all our daughters, everywhere. You can donate here: http://igg.me/at/jahas-journey/x/11903.
