I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Every day, I witness the discrimination and stigma that we face.  I experienced being bullied because of my sexuality, I experienced rejection and also unfair treatment. It's time to end this and promote gender equality for all. According to a study by the National Bureau of Economic Research (2019) LGBTQIA+ individuals are twice as likely to experience discrimination in their daily lives compared to their heterosexual counterparts. This is not just an issue of fairness; it's an issue of basic human rights.

   I am creating this petition to encourage individuals especially the government to approve the SOGIE Bill in our country, the Philippines. The SOGIE Equality Bill recognizes the fundamental rights of every person regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. At its core, it aims to provide fair and equal opportunities for everyone in accessing basic social services, opportunities, healthcare, protection, and justice while acknowledging and breaking down the barriers that exist for people with diverse SOGIESC.     

   I am advocating equality for LGBTQIA+ Community. I want to address the issue regarding to the discrimination that we are facing every single day. We need your help in breaking down these barriers and fostering an environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Its time to speak up, we need to change the mindset of every individual that everyone should have the right access to everything because we are all equal here.
