As someone deeply affected by global warming, I feel a compelling need to bring an issue to the world's attention - deforestation and the overuse of fossil fuels. Both are significant contributors to the climate change we are experiencing today. Deforestation, primarily in tropical rainforests, has a pronounced effect on the world's climate, contributing to around 15% of all global greenhouse gas emissions (according to the World Wildlife Fund). Likewise, burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation is the largest single source of global greenhouse gas emissions (per the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency).

Not only are we destroying our planet's lungs, but we are also adding toxic gases that are greatly exacerbating global warming. This personal story is not mine alone - it concerns all of us and the future of our planet. We must take immediate and decisive action to preserve our environment, protect biodiversity, and mitigate the detrimental effects of climate change.

We urge policy makers globally to end deforestation and dramatically reduce the consumption of fossil fuels. It is essential for our survival and the well-being of future generations.
