Yaroslav Inozemtsev is a 17-year-old teenager from Volgograd, who has been under investigation for 3 years for a trumped-up "terrorism" case. Yaroslav has been supporting anti-fascist initiatives, reposted anti-Putin memes on his social media, and sometimes (like many teenagers his age) liked to blow up firecrackers with friends. Law enforcement authorities believe that he wanted to blow up his school, but the only evidence they have is a little homemade firecracker and the testimony of his classmate. 

Criminal prosecution started when Yaroslav was only 14 years old. On June 11, 2020, at 7:00 a.m., fifteen men with helmets and assault rifles broke into the apartment of Yaroslav's parents without any warning while he was still asleep, they pinned his mother Julia against the wall, everything looked like an armed robbery; Julia was sure they were going to kill their family. However, these people turned out to be law enforcement officers, they conducted a search, interrogating Yaroslav in the absence of any lawyers, and then immediately took him to the Investigative Committee. The very next day Yaroslav was tried and sent to the pre-trial detention facility. During that time the teenager has already endured 1 year in an investigative isolator, 5 months in a psychiatric hospital and about a year under house arrest and ban on certain activities. And the investigation does not end: every time Yaroslav's parents succeed in getting a milder measure of restraint (such as house arrest or prohibition on certain actions), the Investigative Committee falsifies new circumstances in order to leave it the same and return Yaroslav back to the detention center.  

Yaroslav is a creative teenager, he likes to draw, read, learn more about the world, he is interested in making something by hand. He wants to be a fashion designer. He always tried to help everyone, participated in actions to help homeless people, and was interested in ideas of a democratic society. Like many young people, once he and his friends got interested in making homemade firecrackers, which they tested in a ravine near the bank of the Volga River, specifically choosing places without people or animals nearby. He never had any idea of harming anyone, much less blowing up a school. All examinations recognized the explosive devices found at Yaroslav's place to be pyrotechnically compounded (i.e. firecrackers) and not carrying any lethal danger, capable of destroying a structure the maximum size of a wooden box. 

Periodically, Yaroslav returned home under house arrest, but was soon was taken away to the pretrial detention center. For example, on November 23, 2021, on the very first day after Yaroslav returned home, the Investigative Committee officers claimed that a FSIN bracelet (which people who are under house arrest should wear) had allegedly recorded Yaroslav's whereabouts on school grounds at night. Although Yaroslav was asleep at that time (his parents can confirm that), video cameras recorded that no one was on school grounds at that time, and also the device could malfunction and show the location 10 meters beyond the actual - because that is how far the school is from Yaroslav's house (and the territory itself starts two meters away), it is the next house. Law enforcement authorities insist that the young man continues to carry out the plan to blow up the school and returns to creating armed means every time he turns up at home, which, of course, is not only untrue, but also a deliberate lie in order to eliminate Yaroslav and "close" him down under a serious criminal article. This is an attempt to ruin the life of an ordinary teenager, which, unfortunately, is successful at the moment.

At this moment, Yaroslav Inozemtsev has been declared insane according to the results of the expertise of the complex forensic psychological-psychiatric commission of the Serbsky Institute. We think that the expertise was carried out on unreliable information and with obvious mistakes. The experts studied not Yaroslav, but the materials of the criminal case submitted to them by the side of prosecution.

We, his parents and all the undersigned people, demand to stop the falsification of the case materials by the law enforcement bodies and immediately stop the illegal criminal prosecution of Yaroslav Inozemtsev and not to apply to him ungrounded, restrictive measures of medical or other kind.
