As an ardent viewer, I've noticed that Nicktoons has been heavily airing SpongeBob SquarePants reruns non-stop for almost two years now. Since the 25th-anniversary celebration of this beloved show in 2024, the channel has sidelined all other Nickelodeon Animated Shows, except for The Patrick Star Show, to dedicate airtime exclusively to SpongeBob.

While we understand and appreciate SpongeBob’s significant contribution to Nickelodeon’s success and its cultural impact, it's paramount that we acknowledge the richness and diversity represented by other Nickelodeon Animated Shows. Whether it be the family-oriented comedy in The Fairly OddParents, the imaginative world-building in Jimmy Neutron, or the life lessons shared in Avatar: The Last Airbender, each Nickelodeon series has its unique voice and value that should not go unheard.

Moreover, the drastic change has also affected the viewing habits of millions of viewers. Prior to 2024, Nicktoons offered a varied selection of programming that catered to a wide range of audiences. The current scheduling, however, severely limits viewer choice and options.
