Want to play that new awesome game you saw online? Great! But wait... It's only available on... A console you don't own. Do you really have to spend a fortune on a new console to play that specific game?

It doesn't have to be like this. This petition seeks to end console exclusive games so that anyone can play their favorite games on their device of choice.

Console exclusives only benefit the companies producing consoles. They get more money by forcing us, the consumer, to buy a new console to play a specific game. The worst part about this? That console exclusive game you want to play can run just fine on the Console/PC you already own. In the past this wasn't always the case, but as technology evolved, the hardware of each console has become very similar to each other. There are some exceptions of course, but a big majority of modern console exclusive games can work on other platforms.

Not everyone has the money to buy more than a single console. Whether you play on Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch or PC, you should be able to play the games you want without having to invest into ANOTHER device and spending a fortune. Even if you have that much money to spend, all that extra money could've been spent on buying more games for your console/PC that you already own.

Xbox/Microsoft is already releasing their games on other consoles and PC, they show that it's possible! Now it's up to other companies to do the same.

There should be no reason other than hardware constraints for games to be locked to a single console. Please sign this petition to support the cause!
