This time last year I made a resolution: for several years previously I had been sending letters to supermarkets and politicians in an attempt to bring to their notice the cramped conditions in which eggs from caged hens were being produced, and after realising that my letters weren't making any noticeable difference my New Years resolution was to take my campaigning to the next level by starting a petition! Last year, I had no idea how many people would agree with my ideas and sign my petitions and it really is thanks to you that supermarkets have listened to what the public want by making a commitment to stop selling caged hens eggs. I could have never imagined that in just one year so much change has happened: all of the UK's biggest supermarkets have pledged to move to higher welfare eggs, my petitions have reached over half a million signatures all together and I have had so many amazing opportunities! Without your support, these achievements would have been impossible- thank you so much! 2017 brings with it new opportunities and prospects for the campaign, so please watch out for my next update which will feature some exciting plans for the new year!
