As many of you already know, last night I went to the amazing Animal Hero Awards and I am absolutely delighted to announce, that along with fellow finalist Liam Landymore, I have won the Young Animal Enthusiast of the Year award! 8 months ago, when I started my first petition, I could never have imagined reaching over 280,000 signatures and achieving the change I’d always hoped to see from Tesco. Let alone starting a second successful petition to ASDA and Morrisons, or launching a campaign against the government! None of this could have possibly happened without your whole hearted support throughout everything I've done. For this I would like to say a huge thank you, to every single one of you who has signed and shared my petitions, read my many updates, and to all of you who have got involved with all out attempts to make our voices heard. I've met some amazing people along the way, and I've had some incredible experiences. I can only hope that you will continue to support me in my current petition, and I will be able to continue seeking change! As well as many fantastic nominees, a whole host of animal loving celebrities attended the awards, making it a very special occasion.
I have been truly inspired by the belief, passion, and determination of everyone that attended and I would like to thank the RSPCA and the Mirror for making the event a possibility!
In other news, a huge number of you got in touch to request campaign posters. For this reason, I've been sending out a link so that you can download and print the posters as many times as you would like! The campaign posters are a fantastic way to spread awareness for the cause and bring the petition into to the real world! If you think that there is anywhere that you could put a poster, please use this link to download and print them https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-pP9sqd7B1x8pNVUPN6mesHQ-NeTZnjiltQAmP8n1qo
If you do put any posters up, it would be brilliant if you could send me a photo to lucygavaghan.cagecampaign@gmail.com whether this is once the posters are up, with yourself, or maybe even your pets, I will add the photos to a collection of all the posters that are put up.
Thank you all again for your fantastic support,
