
A public records request was made and a response issued that procurement of the email communications requested would take at least 8 weeks.
Is this an intentional delay?
Who knows for sure, but communications are slowly coming through and here’s what we’ve learned.
Within Lewis Middle School exists a culture of falling in line, not rocking the boat, and letting administrators to continue perpetuating harm. When someone spoke up, internal emails show key leaders chose instead to distance themselves from allegations.
We get it. It can be hard when you learn something alarming happened. You want to believe the victim and you want to trust leadership has good intentions.
Both things can still be true.
So remember, this petition isn’t just about one child being bullied. It’s about a school culture where harm is minimized, accountability is avoided, and the people trying to make a difference are left out in the cold.
