Petition updateEnd Breed Specific Legislation in Prince George's County, MD📣 Petition Update: We've Been Heard!

After 27 years of the pit bull ban, we're finally seeing real movement. The current council has listened to our voices — and now, a pilot program is being proposed that would allow banned dogs to return safely to our community.

This program focuses on responsible, educated ownership and provides structured support, creating a safer, more informed community for everyone. It also addresses the concerns of those who still believe the outdated myths — offering them reassurance through education and accountability, not fear.

Most importantly, this gives us a chance to prove what other communities already know: Breed bans don't reduce bites — education, community support, and resources do.

This proposal will be presented to council on September 9th, and we need your help more than ever. Please encourage your friends, neighbors, and family to sign and share our petition.

Let’s show the council — and the world — that we’re paying attention, and that these outdated, ineffective laws must change.

We’re making history. Let’s keep going.
