We need your help! Friday, June 27, 2025 9 am is the public, decision making hearing being held by the Board of Land and Natural Resources (BLNR) on whether or not to ACCEPT OR REJECT the US Army's Final Environmental Impact State (FEIS) for the retention of 6,300 acres of "State Lands" (aka Stolen Hawaiian Kingdom lands) on Oʻahu for military use. These stolen Hawaiian lands contain significant cultural and sacred sites, fragile ecosystems that support endangered species, and water sources. The US Army has desecrated these lands, blocked access for Kanaka Maoli, left unexploded ordnances scattered throughout, and has poisoned our earth mother.
There were approximately 2,183 public comments submitted for the Draft EIS. Also, just last month, hundreds attended the BLNR public decision making hearing on the Pohakuloa Training Area Final EIS submitted by the US Army. Our collective voices convinced the BLNR to REJECT the Final EIS supported by the BLNR Staff Submittal. We have the same opportunity this Friday. The Staff Submittal for the Final EIS for the O'ahu lands recommends that the BLNR non-accept the Final EIS - click here to read this document.
We can act locally to effect change globally against the US war machine that makes everyone less safe and threatens our keiki's future.
