In 5 weeks, on December 1st, the first of five trials for a total of 20 people charged with burglary for rescuing 23 beagles from MBR Acres will begin. Each person is risking 10 years in prison, all because they helped to save puppies from death in animal testing.

Right now, we are at a vital moment for the future of the fight against animal testing in the UK. MBR is weak and - we understand - only weeks away from needing a government utilities bailout. If we can secure not-guilty verdicts at trial and make sure the British public sees this, we might just win our struggle for dogs in labs across the country.

This has been a process lasting more than three years since Dan, Ben, and Beau kicked things off by rescuing five beagle puppies in June 2022. We are now about to put animal testing on trial in front of a jury of 12 ordinary people. The stakes couldn't be higher.
