I’m not too sure if everyone has heard but the National Farmers Federation are badgering the government into believing there are more people wanting Live Animal Export to continue than those who wish for it to end. It has infuriated me, this is definitely NOT the truth, but that’s typical of Live Animal Exporters, twist the truth to suit themselves..

I don’t want to sound like a broken record but if WE don’t start demanding the Labor Government end Live Animal Export asap, not only will it continue but the farmers will grow it to a point where any hope of ending it will be lost entirely.

SERIOUSLY- WE ALL NEED TO BE PROACTIVELY ACTIONING THIS. The government needs to know undoubtedly that the majority of Australians despise this industry and everything about it.

Last Saturday after the Protest/Awareness Days, Andrew, Maria and myself went for coffee and bandied about ideas that may help…Maria suggested that 1 day soon we get every person (or as many as possible) to take a letter into their local MP’s office and state that as a voter of this electorate, you want to hand deliver it to MP………..!
Im happy to write the letter that is to be handed in, but if you feel confident in writing a short, direct letter to your MP then please go ahead but don’t forget the date. I will remind everyone prior to that date.

I personally am willing to try absolutely anything to try and end this barbaric industry, so I think it’s worth a try. 
I thought I would put up 2 dates and hopefully most people can make it on that date but I know not everyone maybe ble to so if I put a second date, those who couldn’t make the first date can possibly do the second one.
The first date would be Wednesday the 30th of August and the second date would be Wednesday, September 13th. There is no time slot that we are aiming for but the day is important, we feel it would be best to happen before the panel releases the phase out papers which are to be finalised by 30th of September.
It would be wonderful if people could target their Labor and Liberal MP’s.

I have applied for Perth and Sydney Protest/Awareness Days on the 14/10/23 and the 9/12/23. PLEASE mark your calendar.
