If you want real 911 reform, help elect Jesse Hamilton

Dear activist,

New York passed a WEAK 911 "Amy Cooper" bill. Under the new law, the penalty is hardly more than a ticket for using bigotry as a weapon in calling the police. Even worse, she would only face an extra penalty if the victim paid for a lawyer to sue her, leaving the burden on the victim not on the criminal justice system.

Jesse Hamilton proposed a much stronger law: People like Amy Cooper should face CRIMINAL penalties for using the police force as their tool of racial discrimination. We will not get better laws until we get better legislators. Jesse Hamilton is facing an entrenched incumbent in a Democratic primary tomorrow, June 23rd
