This petition was born out of a conversation that truly hit home. Maggie Karasek, a passionate and dedicated dispatcher and member of our community, promised to join us at EMT school, if we can rally behind her with 100 signatures. Her enrollment embodies a commitment to offering much needed emergency medical care to our community.

EMTs, or Emergency Medical Technicians, provide critical medical support during emergency situations like accidents, traumas, and medical crises. They make a significant difference in survival and recovery rates, especially in critical minutes following an emergency. In fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, EMT services could reduce the nation's road-traffic death toll by one-third.
