Hello local parents and guardians!

As you all are aware local schools have closed several times this year due to severe weather. Unfortunately, many of these schools wait until 5am to cancel and notify parents about school closures. This gives parents/guardians very little time to make other child care arrangements for their child/ren. 

It is also important for the school districts to plan for more than 4 snow days. This is Wisconsin, we all know we're going to get snow and ice, but poor planning and not having enough snow days to cover the winter means a longer school year for the kiddos! By planning for more snow days it will alleviate the need for adding additional days at the end of the school year to make up for using up more snow days than what was planned for. Better safe than sorry. 

We are asking you to sign this petition to motivate the local school districts to notify parents the day before about school cancelations. This would give parents/guardians ample time to find other arrangement for their children when schools are cancelled.
