Not elsewhere, but here in our land; caught in the stupor of immigration limbo. These are people like you and me, thriving for a good life—yet they are like ghosts within our society.

The United Nations reports that in 2017, an estimated 258 million people resided outside their country of birth—an increase of 49% since 2000 (UN Migration Report, 2018). However, our current immigration policies often leave them operating outside of legal frameworks. Without the chance to legally settle, they face life-threatening conditions and all manner of hardships.

Let's imagine a country where everyone, including immigrants, can contribute to society without fearing for their lives. A country where every human life is valued, where diversity is celebrated—not scapegoated or marginalized.
