Hello all, 

Today I’d like to talk about our most at risk population of women. Indigenous women. Almost 6 in 10 (56%) of Indigenous women have experienced physical assault at the hands of men compared to other demographics at 34%. As well they are at risk of sexual assault at almost half of Indigenous women (46%) have experiencing sexual assault compared to other demographics at 33%. Indigenous women are also 12 times as likely to go missing or be murdered in Canada than other women. That’s part of the reason I made this petition and why it’s so important. With Truth and Reconciliation Day fast approaching (Sep 30th) let’s make this petition go viral! We have to protect Indigenous women and ALL women in Canada and allow them to protect themselves. No more stolen sisters!
