This petition is anchored on a personal struggle. Each month, I suffer from severe period cramps during school hours. Unfortunately, the school nurse isn't permitted to provide over-the-counter medications such as Ibuprofen, Tylenol, or Advil that could easily alleviate my pain. This is a predicament that I'm sure is shared by many students nationwide who face various health issues requiring immediate attention.

Over the Counter meds are Over the Counter meds for a reason. Why can you get ibuprofen from 7/11, but not from someone who you entrust in your healthcare while at school?
