Empower PharmD Professionals Create Jobs Through Structured Grading in Healthcare&Industry
The Issue
Pharm D professionals across the country are facing an alarming employment crisis. Despite undergoing rigorous academic and clinical training, many graduates find themselves jobless or underutilized due to a lack of clearly defined roles within the healthcare sector.
Thousands of qualified Pharm D professionals remain unemployed every year. This underemployment not only demoralizes professionals but also deprives the healthcare system of valuable expertise in clinical pharmacy, drug safety, patient counseling, pharmacovigilance, and public health support.
We are calling on:
Government of India
Pharmacy Council of India
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
Public Sector Hospitals and Healthcare Authorities
Pharmaceutical Public Sector Units (PSUs)
to take immediate steps towards the implementation of a structured grading system for Pharm D professionals based on merit, skill, and clinical competency. Such a system would:
Create job opportunities in both hospital and community healthcare settings
Recognize and reward advanced knowledge and professional excellence
Improve patient outcomes through the inclusion of qualified medication experts. Support national health missions and strengthen pharmacovigilance frameworks
This appeal represents not just the needs of unemployed Pharm D graduates but also the urgent need to upgrade healthcare delivery with competent pharmaceutical care.
Let’s acknowledge and empower Pharm D professionals as essential members of the healthcare team. Sign this petition to demand action — for a healthier, safer, and more equitable healthcare system
