🛑 Emergenza Ungulati all’Isola d’Elba –  Fermiamo la Devastazione dell'Isola d'Elba

Firma per chiedere l’eradicazione urgente di cinghiali e mufloni dall’Isola d’Elba

Il 14 febbraio 2022 è nato il Comitato spontaneo di cittadini “Emergenza Nord-Ovest”, con l’obiettivo di portare all’attenzione pubblica e istituzionale una grave emergenza ambientale e di sicurezza: la presenza incontrollata di cinghiali e mufloni nella zona nord-occidentale e in tutta l’Isola d’Elba.

A distanza di oltre tre anni, la situazione è drammaticamente peggiorata:

• La sicurezza stradale è in serio pericolo, soprattutto per motociclisti e ciclisti
• Il territorio è devastato
• I residenti e i turisti sono esasperati
• L’ambiente naturale e agricolo è messo in ginocchio. La biodiversità è minacciata
• Esiste un rischio concreto di dissesto idrogeologico
• Le strade e i cortili sono invasi da escrementi e rifiuti.

🔴 Non si può più aspettare.

Non possiamo più accettare rimpalli di responsabilità tra enti, né l’inerzia delle istituzioni. Le segnalazioni, le denunce e le lettere inviate finora non hanno portato ad alcun cambiamento concreto. È ora di agire.

Chiediamo:

• L’immediato avvio del progetto di eradicazione di cinghiali e mufloni dal territorio nord-occidentale dell’Isola d’Elba.
• L’intensificazione delle operazioni di cattura, prelievo e abbattimento degli ungulati.
• Una risposta concreta e tempestiva da parte della Regione Toscana e degli enti preposti.

Ricordiamo a tutti che né i cinghiali né i mufloni sono animali autoctoni dell'Elba e che sono stati introdotti per fini venatori negli anni '60. 

Non lasciamo che l’Elba, isola di valore naturalistico, storico e turistico, venga distrutta dall’indifferenza.

Sign to demand the urgent eradication of wild boars and mouflons from Elba Island

On February 14, 2022, the spontaneous citizens' committee *“Emergenza Nord-Ovest”* was founded with the goal of drawing public and institutional attention to a serious environmental and safety emergency: the uncontrolled presence of wild boars and mouflons in the northwestern area and across the entire island of Elba.

More than three years later, the situation has dramatically worsened:

- Road safety is seriously at risk, especially for motorcyclists and cyclists  
- The land is devastated  
- Residents and tourists are exasperated  
- The natural and agricultural environment is being crippled. Biodiversity is under threat  
- There is a real risk of hydrogeological instability  
- Streets and courtyards are overrun with droppings and waste  

🔴 We can’t wait any longer.

We can no longer accept blame-shifting between authorities or institutional inertia. The reports, complaints, and letters sent so far have led to no concrete change. It’s time to act.

We demand:

- The immediate start of the eradication project for wild boars and mouflons from the northwestern area of Elba Island  
- An intensification of capture, removal, and culling operations for these ungulates  
- A concrete and timely response from the Region of Tuscany and the relevant authorities

Let us remember: neither wild boars nor mouflons are native species to Elba. They were introduced in the 1960s for hunting purposes.

Let’s not allow Elba – an island of natural, historical, and touristic value – to be destroyed by indifference.

🛑 Huftier-Notstand auf der Insel Elba – Stoppen wir die Zerstörung der Insel Elba

Unterschreiben Sie, um die dringende Ausrottung von Wildschweinen und Mufflons auf der Insel Elba zu fordern

Am 14. Februar 2022 wurde das spontane Bürgerkomitee „Emergenza Nord-Ovest“ gegründet, um die Öffentlichkeit und die Institutionen auf einen gravierenden Umwelt- und Sicherheitsnotstand aufmerksam zu machen: die unkontrollierte Präsenz von Wildschweinen und Mufflons im nordwestlichen Teil und auf der gesamten Insel Elba.

Mehr als drei Jahre später hat sich die Lage dramatisch verschlechtert:

• Die Verkehrssicherheit ist ernsthaft gefährdet, insbesondere für Motorrad- und Fahrradfahrer
• Das Gebiet ist verwüstet
• Bewohner und Touristen sind verzweifelt
• Die natürliche und landwirtschaftliche Umwelt ist schwer geschädigt – die Biodiversität ist bedroht
• Es besteht ein konkretes Risiko für hydrogeologische Schäden
• Straßen und Höfe sind von Kot und Abfällen übersät
  
  🔴 Es darf kein weiteres Zögern geben.

Wir können keine weiteren Schuldzuweisungen zwischen den Behörden und keine Untätigkeit der Institutionen akzeptieren. Die bisherigen Meldungen, Beschwerden und Schreiben haben zu keinerlei konkreten Veränderungen geführt. Jetzt ist es Zeit zu handeln.

Wir fordern:

• Den sofortigen Beginn eines Projekts zur Ausrottung von Wildschweinen und Mufflons im nordwestlichen Gebiet der Insel Elba
• Eine Intensivierung der Maßnahmen zur Einfangung, Entnahme und Tötung dieser Huftiere
• Eine konkrete und zeitnahe Antwort seitens der Region Toskana und der zuständigen Behörden

Zur Erinnerung: Weder Wildschweine noch Mufflons sind auf Elba heimisch – sie wurden in den 1960er-Jahren zu Jagdzwecken eingeführt.

Lassen wir nicht zu, dass Elba – eine Insel von natürlichem, historischem und touristischem Wert – durch Gleichgültigkeit zerstört wird.
