Petition updateEmergency: Save Our Peninsula’s Wildlife Before It’s Too Late500+ Strong — Now Taking Our Petition to Our Local MP and Environment Minister

I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting this petition and standing up for our native roadside vegetation and vulnerable wildlife.

After weeks of campaigning — and sending Council photos, videos, and detailed concerns — the petition was finally tabled. Unfortunately, the response was a standard referral to vegetation clearance guidelines and links to road safety protocols. No commitment to change, no acknowledgement of the damage being done, and no plan to protect the wildlife we care so deeply about.

Chainsaws continue to roar through our coastal streets, and the trees that once shaped our town — and sheltered countless animals — are disappearing.

This fight isn’t over. I’ll now be redirecting this petition to our local MP, Sam Groth, and the Victorian Environment Minister to call for proper review and protection measures.

Please continue to share the petition — your voices matter more than ever.
