Thank you so much to everyone who has signed and shared this petition — we’ve now passed 200 signatures in just over a week.
Sadly, the tree clearing hasn’t stopped. Even saplings are being destroyed, and our nature strips — once green and full of life — are now barren and lifeless. As a wildlife carer, I’m devastated to report that I’m struggling to find enough natural foliage to feed the possums in my care. These decisions aren’t just aesthetic — they’re impacting real, living creatures.
A formal complaint has now been submitted to Council, and the petition will be officially presented at the next Council meeting on Tuesday, 14 May. In the meantime, I’ve urged councillors directly to pause the program immediately and conduct an urgent ecological review.
Please continue to share the petition — your voices are helping build pressure and awareness. Every signature counts. Every tree matters.
With heartfelt thanks,
Nat
