Julian Assange has been imprisoned for 1860 days
Dear Supporters,
With just six days remaining until a UK court delivers its verdict on whether Julian Assange will be extradited to the US – the same country accused of plotting his murder under CIA director Mike Pompeo, the world is watching.
The outcome of this decision will resonate globally. Should the court rule in favour of extradition, it will set a dangerous precedent, enabling other nations to target journalists and publishers beyond their borders.
Now more than ever, we urge concerned citizens to gather outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London from 08:30 on Monday, May 20th.
Politicians from various corners of the globe, spanning the political spectrum, alongside heads of state, religious and cultural leaders, as well as prominent human rights, free speech, and media organisations, have all voiced their demand for an end to Assange's persecution.
Reporters Without Borders states, "The implications for journalism around the world cannot be overstated." Amnesty International warns, "If Julian Assange is extradited... the message to journalists and publishers everywhere is simple: you are not safe." The Guardian asserts, "Not just a threat to Mr. Assange personally... an iniquitous threat to journalism, with global implications." The New York Times emphasizes, "Sets a dangerous precedent, and threatens to undermine America’s First Amendment and the freedom of the press.”
Detained in one form or another for over 13 years, Julian Assange stands as the world's most renowned and honoured free speech advocate, sought for exposing war crimes and human rights violations.
It is long overdue for Julian Assange to be released and reunited with his wife Stella and their two young children. Stand with us on Monday, May 20th, starting from 8:30 am at the Royal Courts of Justice, London, WC2A 2LL, and let your voices be heard..

What Can You Do:
We continue to urge US citizens to contact their representatives and call for them to sign House Resolution 934: "Regular journalistic activities are protected under the First Amendment, and that the United States ought to drop all charges against and attempts to extradite Julian Assange."
