Equal Warranty for EU and UK Tesla Buyers

Tesla has upgraded its basic vehicle warranty in Australia and New Zealand to 5 years with unlimited kilometres. Yet customers in Europe and the UK—who often pay more for the same vehicles—are still limited to 4 years or 80,000 km.

This is not fair.

Why should EU and UK buyers pay a premium price and receive less protection?

A global company should treat its customers equally across major markets. If Tesla can offer a stronger basic warranty in Australia and New Zealand, it should offer the same peace of mind to customers in Europe and the UK.

Tesla is one of the world’s most recognised EV brands. Its warranty policy should reflect fairness, consistency, and respect for all customers. European and UK drivers should not be left with weaker coverage for the same product.

We call on Elon Musk and Tesla to:

1. Upgrade the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty in Europe and the UK to 5 years with unlimited mileage
2. Apply the same warranty standard offered in Australia and New Zealand to UK/EU Teslas
3. Treat EU and UK customers with the same fairness and confidence given to other major markets

Tesla owners in Europe and the UK deserve equal treatment, equal protection, and equal value.
