I am a resident of the Tower District, Fresno, CA, USA and I witness firsthand the impact of our weekly farmers market. This event is not benefiting our community as it should. Instead, it's taking away from local businesses and causing unnecessary inconvenience for residents. The market is dominated by food trucks rather than local producers or vendors which contradicts its original purpose to support local agriculture and small businesses.

Furthermore, the organization of this event has been less than satisfactory. It results in blocked areas that make navigation difficult for those living nearby. The people who run this market have shown a lack of consideration for these issues despite numerous complaints from community members.

Moreover, rudeness and disregard towards residents' concerns have been reported frequently which further strains relations between organizers and locals.

Farmers markets are meant to be beneficial to communities by providing fresh produce directly from farmers while supporting local economy (USDA). However, when they become disruptive and detrimental to the neighborhood they serve as ours has become; it's time we reconsider their presence.

We urge city officials to remove this weekly farmers market completely from our neighborhood until a more suitable location can be found or better management practices are implemented that consider both business interests and residents' quality of life.
